Using iPads for educational purposes

Here is the next ACT’s upcoming face-to-face FREE workshop for those interested J

Integrating iPads into your classroom for learning support and special ed
(one day FREE face-to-face workshop)
Overview
The iPad has turned even experienced technology users into beginners again! How do you make the BEST app choices when there are over 500,000 to choose from? How do you successfully embed iPads within your learning support programs? How are they best used in special ed classrooms and for students with autism?

9:00 - 10:30am: Customising the iPad to accommodate the needs of diverse learners
10:30 - 11:00am: MORNING TEA
11:00 - 11:45am: Adding content to your iPads to support students in special ed classrooms
11:45 - 12:30pm: Adding content to your iPads to support students with learning support needs in mainstream classrooms
12:30 - 1:30pm: LUNCH
1:30 - 2:15pm: Adding content to your iPads to support students with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
2:15 - 3:00pm: Creating customised content on iPads: Students and teachers as authors
3:00 - 3:30pm: AFTERNOON TEA
3:30 - 4:00pm: Don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater! The place for other technologies in your classroom toolkit
4:00 - 4:30pm: Taking your learning further…today is just the beginning…
