2. ascilite welcomes new institutional members
Ascilite extends a very warm welcome to the Australian National University and Universiti Sains Malaysia who have joined the growing ranks of institutional members of ascilite. Both institutions joined ascilite this year whilst the University of Wollongong joined ascilite at the end of 2012. That's a total of almost 70 new ascilite members under the institutional membership scheme since November 2012.
Our institutional membership program offers institutions significant savings over individual membership fees as well as access to our new CMALT Australasia scheme conducted in partnership with ALT (UK). This scheme, which is exclusively open to ascilite members in the Australasian region, provides a professional accreditation process for people whose work involves learning technologies.
Different categories of membership are available to institutions and you will find the different options outlined in our institutional member flyer on the membership page of the ascilite website.

1. Recording Available: Transforming Assessment Webinar
A recording of the latest Transforming Assessment Webinar conducted on 8 May 2013 and titled "ProEMA: online moderation of evidenced linked teacher assessment of student work" is available for viewing here.

It was presented by Suzanne Henden, University of Queensland and hosted by Professor Geoffrey Crisp, RMIT University and Dr Mathew Hillier, University of Queensland.
2. Expressions of Interest: Two Day Symposium: Music and e-Learning, UNE
A two-day symposium, "Music and e-Learning: Spreading Horizons in the Tertiary and Pre-tertiary Environment" will be held at the UNE Future Campus in Parramatta on 14 and 15 December 2013.
The two-day symposium targets a growing area in tertiary and pre-tertiary education and aims to stimulate innovation and development in the field. Music presents particular challenges and opportunities in the e-learning context and this symposium will draw together both tertiary and pre-tertiary practitioners and e-learning educational theorists in order to promote ongoing innovation.
A symposium website will soon be available announcing keynote speakers and a call for papers. In the meantime, please email expressions of interest and enquiries to the symposium organisers.
